"Melancholia" is set in a corrupt private high school with preferential treatment. It tells the beautiful story of a math teacher and a math prodigy student. Ji Yoon Soo is a high school math teacher who appears kind-hearted but is actually strong-willed and stubborn when it comes to making decisions. Passionate about math, she encourages her students to find the answers on their own. Baek Seung Yoo, a math prodigy, is a quiet boy who voluntarily engages in extramarital affairs and enjoys taking photos with a DSLR camera. Despite ranking last in his high school, he once dominated the Math Olympics when he was young, entered the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at the age of 10, and dropped out at the age of 12.
